Blast Cleaning

Naburn Hall
Over the past year we have been helping
transform Naburn Hall near York. As the builders remove the old rendering, We
clean the brickwork before the masons cut out the old mortar and re-point . Once
again we have been trusted to work on an historic project and each time
that we return we are delighted to see the old building regain it's beauty and
dignity.
We found it easier to use our own access
platform to do the work rather than scaffolding, as this makes it far easier to
control the pressure on the brick. In most cases, scaffolding is to close and
this results in too much blast pressure on the surface. By using the access
platform, we can alter the distance from the surface to optimise the pressure
and cleaning rate.
Naburn Hall can trace its history as far
back as 1372, so we hope that we have contributed to it lasting a few hundred
years more,
Here are some pictures of our work at
the hall.
